Doing Our Part
WildWildWildBooks.com is now an eBay Giving Works partner! A percentage of many of our new premier sales and auctions proceeds will go to charities such as the Wounded Warrior Project, the Paralyzed Veterans of America, Habitat for Humanity, United Way, and Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure. Our special emphasis is on rebuilding New Orleans!

Business in the Commons
Some have wondered, how did this little book-mining operation get started?
In the 1990s, L. Wild founded The Belladonna Underground, Inc., a Florida-based consignment salon and tea room. In a few years of operation, the business amassed an amazing collection of antique furniture, vintage linens, books, vinyl records, art and art prints, musical instruments, and much else. Yet before the planned brick-and-mortar store had opened, the Wilds were obliged to return to their birthplace of New Orleans to care for their elders.
Years later, our dream of bringing the corporation to New Orleans was renewed during the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina, when WildWildWild.com became a legal entity and A. Wild began to catalog the Wild collections in earnest. The first priority was to develop the necessary skills for safely and cheaply storing, retrieving, and shipping inventory. And after a few years of experimentation with various approaches for driving overhead to zero, our online business has been growing steadily using e-commerce portals such as Half.com, Ebay.com, Amazon.com, and GEMM.com. Meanwhile, the boutique on Camp Street opens once a month making the entire inventory available to local customers.
